Jack Devereaux Carman, 42, Caldwell drowned Thursday when his car crashed in the Low Line Canal near Lake Lowell.
He had engaged in the real estate business with his father, then for the past nine years had been with the U. S. Forest Service. He recently had been employed as an auto salesman for Edmark Motors.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters, L. Jean Carman and Linda J. and a brother, Robert B. Devereaux, Caldwell.
