Charlotte was born in Sherman, Texas, to the late William R. and Pearl Walker Carlton. She married Grover W. (Jack) Bond on April 19, 1946. Charlotte was a member of the WNJ Auxiliary completing more than 6000+ hours in the floral shop. She loved playing bridge with her many close, long time friends. In all their bridge playing years, there was never an unkind word among any of them. She worked for several years at Mrs. Tuckers.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Jack on June 30, 1993; brother, Billy Charles Carlton on Dec. 19, 2003; and her great-nephew, Warren Curtis on July 2, 2003.
She is survived by her daughter, Marianne Johnston; husband/partner, Bob McCauley of China Springs; nephew, Billy C. Carlton, Jr. and wife, Debie; niece, Cathy Bravo and husband, Bob; sister-in-law, Pat Carlton, all of San Antonio; niece, Donna Curtis of Arlington; great-nephew, Dan Curtis of Allen, and other loving relatives.
