Charles Carlton (33741053)

Following an illness of five days, an absence of the brain, Charlie L. Carlton of Avoca passed away Wednesday, August 16, in Stamford. Mr. Carlton would have been 55 years old Aug. 17. He was born in Tarrant County, August 17, 1884.
Arrangements for the funeral are in charge of Kinney which will be held at the First Baptist church, Rev. Jones assisted by Rev. P.D. O’Brien officiating. Interment will be made at Fairview cemetery.
Survivors include Mrs. Carlton; three sons: Wayne Carlton of Stamford; Lynn Carlton and Alton Carlton, of Avoca; one daughter: Miss Elaine Carlton, also of Avoca.
Five brothers and two sisters also survive: They are J.A. Carlton of Arlington; J.W. and D.R. Carlton, both of Denton; W.M. and W.C. Carlton, both of Tuxedo; Mrs. Dera Kirkland of Sanger; Mrs. Russle Kirkland of Denton.
Carlton moved to Jones county from Denton County. He had been a member of the Christian church for more than 20 years.
