Jenet Jean Anderson of Bellevue, Washington passed away at Kindred Hospital in Seattle on October 29, 2012, she was 82 years old.
Jenet was born on July 31st 1930 in Puyallup, Washington to Elmer and Lillian Carlson and grew up in Summit, Washington. She graduated from Puyallup High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Washington.
She moved to Paris France in 1956 with the US Foreign Service to work at the American Embassy where she met the love of her life, Martin J. Anderson, whom she married in 1957. They fully enjoyed living as American expatriates in Paris for several years before returning to the United States.
Soon after their return she gave birth to two sons, Brett and Erik. In 1965 the family relocated to Bellevue, Washington and in 1966 she gave birth to her third son, Kevin. Jenet was a devoted wife and mother and was an active member of the Ryther Foundation of the greater Seattle area.
To friends and family she was known as an accomplished cook and welcoming and generous hostess. She and Marty were also avid UW Husky football fans. She loved to travel and her adventures took her on several return trips to Europe as well as to Central America and Africa. Her kindness and loving nature will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Jenet is survived by her three sons: Brett, Kevin and Erik, daughter-in-law, and grandson.
Jenet will be laid to rest with her husband Martin at Lower Hillside Cemetery in Issaquah, WA.
