Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Ada Jensen Carlson, age 78 of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Monday, November 17, 1997.
She was born July 27, 1919, in Moroni, Utah to Vemiel and Bertha Sorensen Jensen. She married Francis W. Carlson on December 5, 1938, in Nephi, Utah. Ada was a member of the LDS Church and served in many callings. She enjoyed spending time with her husband and family in the outdoors. She loved the company of her children, especially the time she was able to spend with her grand and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years; three sons, Jay (Corliss) Carlson of Cody, WY; John (Mickie) Carlson of Kearns, UT; Gary (Sandy) Carlson of West Jordan, UT; six grandchildren, Susan Truluck, Vickie Carlson, Peter Carlson, Tony Carlson, Kenny Carlson and Celeste Swensen; six step-grandchildren, Tony Poindexter, Deb Grandy, Em Poindexter, Kim Turner, Nick Turner and Tammy Timothy; three great-grandchildren and 12 step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Lillis Kellett; Maurien Blackburn; Neva larsen; brothers, Floyd Jensen; Dean Jensen; Boyce Jensen; brothers and sisters-in-law, John Carlson; Bud Carlson; Barbara Hanson; LaRae Dyches; JoAnn Lee; various nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and one grandson.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Nov. 20, 1997, at the Mt. Pleasant 4th Ward Chapel, 49 South State Street at 11 a.m. Friends and family may call at the Ursenbach Funeral Home, 96 No. 100 West from 9:45 to 10:45 prior to the services. Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery.
