Carol Joyce CarlsonBaxter 12/23/33 - 11/27/02 KAYSVILLE - Carol Joyce Carlson Baxter left us Wednesday, November 27, 2002 after a valiant battle with Leukemia. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah December 23, 1933. The daughter of William Harold Carlson and Ethel Clarice Anderson. Carol is survived by her husband Lynn L. Baxter, sister Janiece (Larry) McBride, brother Richard (Mary)Carlson, and children Sherri Lynn (Todd) Mabey, Salt Lake City; Lori Lee (Jim) Woodman, Castle Rock, CO; Terri Rae (John) Call, Orem, Utah; and Geri Lyn (Matt) Lehnardt, Springville, Utah; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her stillborn daughter Carolyn. We also recognize her cousin Nancy (Lowell) Gould who has been a caring life long friend. Carol was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held many positions. She served a mission with her husband to the Orlando, Florida Temple in 1999. She also served in the Bountiful Utah Temple where she was serving prior to her death. Carol was a Commercial Art graduate. She had skills including art, sewing, and gardening. She also enjoyed boating with the family and knew how to have a good time. She also had a mechanical and electrical understanding. She loved everybody and will be missed by many. We take this opportunity to give special thanks to several people who sat with and comforted her including the doctors and nurses who cared for her at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake for several weeks prior to her passing. Also the special care by nurses and doctors at Rocky Mountain Hospice. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2002 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville Crestwood Stake Center, 855 East Mutton Hollow Road in Kaysville. Friends and family may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Gardens, 3401 South and Highland Drive in Salt Lake at 1:30 p.m. Carol asked that in lieu of flowers to make donations to Hospice. e-mail condolences to the family at
