Phyllis J. (Carlson) Anderson was born on Wednesday; November 28, 1928 in Chicago; Cook County, Illinois. She was the daughter of: Benjamin and Ruth (Sunling) Carlson. Phyllis moved to Clinton in 1938 with her family. She graduated from Clinton High School. She married Lorin Anderson on August 18, 1956 in Clinton; Clinton County, Iowa. Phyllis was a homemaker and worked as a nurse's aid at Jane Lamb for several years. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, where her ministry was sending out cards of encouragement to all. Phyllis J. (Carlson) Anderson, age 81, passed away on Tuesday; May 4, 2010 at the Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton, Iowa. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her two daughters: Gayla (Anderson) Aszman and Tammy Sagers, both of Clinton, Iowa. Her Ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. her special friends: Connie and Apryl Schmitz of Clinton, Iowa. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, and great grandson. May they rest in peace. Visitation will be from: 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday; May 10, 2010 at the church. Funeral services will begin at: 11:00 a.m. also on Monday; May 10, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Clinton, Iowa. Interment will be at the Clinton Lawn Cemetery in Clinton, Iowa. The Pape Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
