Mr. Carlson was born on Oct. 3, 1907, to Andrew and Augusta Carlson in Minneapolis. He died on April 19, 1984 at the Rush City Hospital at age 76 years, 6 months and 16 days.
Mr. Carlson attended Sunrise School and one year of high school in North Branch. At age six months, he moved with family to Sunrise.
He was married to Ellen Waldoff on Feb. 19, 1927. She survives.
Other survivors include: daughter Betty; two grandchildren, Shelley and Robert; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Hulda and one brother, Rueben.
Mr. Carlson was preceded in death by his parents and by eight brothers and sisters.
Mr. Carlson owned Al's Tire Service in North Branch for 53 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran, Church.
Funeral arrangements were made by Malmquist Funeral Chapel, North Branch.
