HEART ATTACK FATAL
TO ALBIN CARLSON;
RITES HELD MONDAY
Funeral services were conducted from the Malmquist funeral chapel, on Monday of this week for Albin Otto Carlson, pioneer resident of Chisago County, who passed away suddenly early Friday morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Axel Stromquist.
Rev. E. L. Pearson officiated at the funeral services with Mrs. Wm. Walker and Mrs. Clarence Jonason singing two songs. They were accompanied by Mrs. Arlie Bloom. Interment was in the Sunrise cemetery.
Albin Carlson was born in Sweden on April 8, 1866 to Mr. and Mrs. Carl Carlson. He came to this country with his parents at the age of three years. The family lived for some time in the Center City community and he was baptized and confirmed in the Center City church.
In 1877 he married Helen Oberg who was also from Sweden. This couple made their home in the Kost community where they lived for a number of years. Mr. Carlson also farmed near Sunrise and Rush City and retired from farm work at the age of sixty-six. After that time he worked for a number of years for the late John Schmidt in the ice business. Mrs. Carlson preceded him in death in the year 1932.
Surviving Mr. Carlson are his five daughters and five sons; Mrs. Axel Stromquist and Mrs. Axel Nelson of North Branch, Mrs. Andrew Munson of Almelund, Mrs. Axel Anderson of Pine City, Mrs. LeRoy Okerstrom of Cloquet; Harry, Frank and Alfred Carlson of Rush City, Winston of North Branch and Henry of Minneapolis; two brothers, George of Canada and Ed of Minneapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Rydeen of North Branch and Hulda Carlson of Milaca; twenty-six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Two brothers and a sister have preceded him in death.
Mr. Carlson had reached the age of 80 years, 11 months and 13 days at the time of his passing.
