Oletta "Lettie" Carlile, 92, Klamath Falls, died Dec. 26, 1994, after a brief illness.

Mrs. Carlile was born in Badger, Minnesota to John and Anna Michaelson.

She moved with her family to Klamath Falls in 1918.

She met her husband Cecil Carlile, while attending the Oregon State School For the Blind in Salem. They were married in Klamath Falls in 1934.

Mrs. Carlile was an office nurse for Dr. Lyode Gass and helped her husband operate a news stand in the lobby of the U.S. Post Office.

In 1965, they purchased the Crescent Grocery in Klamath Falls, which they operated until their retirement.

She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Degree of Honor Society.

Survivors includer her daughters, Mary Ann Frost and Oletta Spears, both Klamath Falls; brothers, Frank Michaelson, Nampa, Idaho and Vernon Michaelson, Florissant, Mo.; sisters, Anna Robinson, Talent, Hazel Gilman, Pocatello, Idaho, Edna Ostrom, Klamath falls, and Lillian Storm, Puyallup, Wash.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1969 and a grandson, Michael Frost, in 1971.
