Mrs. Hazel M. Carle, 78, 1312Polk, was dead on arrival at a Topeka hospital late Saturday. She had an apparent heart attack.
She was born April 28, 1892 in Topeka where she spent most of her life. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Beulah Chapter No. 34, Order of Eastern Star.
She was employed by Capper Publications 30 years and worked in the bindery before she retired in 1957.
Her husband, David Carle, died in 1938.
Survivors include two sons, David M. Carle, Fort Madison, Iowa and Robert H. Carle, Houston, Tx.; a brother, Henry Richter, 180 Mission; 4 sisters, Mrs. Ann Neill, 2021 Mission, Mrs. Dorothy Carlson, Pittsburgh,Pa., Mrs. Lylas Chapman, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Edna Pierson, 1251 Topeka; and 3 grandchildren.
Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary was in charge of arrangements and burial will be in Topeka Cemetery.
