Obituary,
Anna (Carle) Batchelor: Friends and relatives were grieved Friday morning to learn of the passing of Mrs. Albert Batchelor who had been in poor health for a long time and who last week developed pneumonia. She had been in falling health for several years and everything was done in her behalf by loving hands, physician and nurse.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the late home conducted by Rev. Charles D. Wilson, of the Methodist church. Interment was in the Ashton Cemetery.
Anna Carle Batchelor was born in the state of New York in 1878 and departed this life at her home in Ashton on February 19, 1932. She was united in marriage with Albert Batchelor on April 28, 1902, coming to Illinois the same year.
To this union were born six children who with the husband survive. They are, James of Summerland, Mississippi; Alfred, Robert, Elmer and Wayne of Ashton; and Mary, Mrs. Joe Jacobs of Rockford.
Mrs. Batchelor was a member of the Methodist church and was a faithful helper in church work as long as her health would permit. Mrs. Batchelor for many years assisted her husband in the work as Janitor of the church and every Sunday during the season of flowers she brought or sent lovely bouquets of flowers which she raised in her own garden.
Although she will be greatly missed the influence of her thoughtfulness to the church will long be remembered.
