Graveside service for Beverly Roan Howell, 95, of Monroe, Louisiana, will be Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens in Vivian, LA. Beverly passed away peacefully in her home on November 28, 2022.

Beverly was born on October 10, 1927 to Augustine (Gus) and Stella Maude Roan in Vivian, Louisiana. After Beverly graduated from Vivian High School in 1944, she began working as an operator for Western Union. Later she got her Cosmetology License and worked at the Town and Country beauty salon. Beverly married Louis E. Howell, Sr on August 27, 1969. They were married for 42 years where they resided until his passing. In 2012, she moved to Monroe, LA to be near her family.

Beverly was a long time and active member of First Baptist Church in Vivian. After moving to Monroe, she attended North Monroe Baptist Church and was attending Highland Baptist Church.

Beverly had an infectious laugh, she loved to cook and could make the most amazing meal out of nothing, she loved to crochet, macrame, gardening and yard work, read, but mostly she loved being around her family who she loved fiercely.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Kenneth Roan, two sisters Francis Roan Hill and Doris Ann Roan Hinson, her beloved husband, Louis E. Howell, Sr., and stepson Gary Howell.

She is survived by a stepdaughter, Betty Crain (Floyd), stepson, Louis Howell Jr. (Stephanie), daughters in-laws, Sue Howell, Rosemary Williams (Tom), six grandchildren, Cheryl Crain, Greg Howell (Amanda), Matt Howell (Kristl), Alicyn Howell Franks (David), Connor Howell, Gary Lynn Howell (Jessica), and ten great-grandchildren. Beverly also leaves behind many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Pallbearers will be Greg Howell, Matt Howell, Connor Howell, Gary Lynn Howell and David Franks.
