George O Carey, 64, of 2502 Prospect, Fort Worth resident for 60 years and a retired service station operator, died Wednesday morning in a hospital. He had suffered from a heart condition for the last eight years.
Among survivors are his wife; a son, Henry T Carey of Azle; a daughter Mrs Jewell Tennison of Fort Worth; a sister; two brothers; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Shannon Memorial Chapel with burial in Mount Olivet.
George Carey worked in the Fort Worth Stock Yards and later a gas station in Northside Fort Worth. He had 2 sons, Henry Thomas (Red) Carey and Otto Marvin Carey (his Sonny Boy preceeded him in death); one daughter Jewel Elizabeth Carey Tennison. There were 9 grandchildren who loved him dearly.
