Alice H. Capone (Caponecchia), 85, of Carlisle, formerly of Donora, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006, in Carlisle. Mrs. Capone was born in Donora on May 4, 1921, a daughter of the late Paul P. and Minnie Pfaff Hageman. She was employed as a teacher for many years in the Donora and Ringgold school systems. After retiring, she took care of finding substitute teachers for the Ringgold Schoo1 District. She was a 1938 graduate of Donora High School, a 1942 graduate of Indiana State Teacher's College, and she received her master's of education degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1953. Mrs. Capone was a member of Calvary United Presbyterian Church in Donora, its choir and the Presbyterian Women. She was a member of the PSEA and NEA, the Donora Woman's Club, AARP, the National Braille Association, the Monongahela OES No. 108, the Donora Historical Society and Friends of the Library. Mrs. Capone also belonged to the Second Presbyterian Church in Carlisle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel A. Capone, in 1975; two sisters, Minnie V. Hageman and Edith H. Innes; and two brothers, Kurt H. and Adam W. Hageman. Survivors include nieces and nephews, Karen Hemzacek, of Illinois, Shirley St. Clair, of Windber, John Innes, of Carlisle, and Fred and William Hageman; and great-nieces and nephews, Christopher and Melissa Hemzacek, Stephen and Lindsay St. Clair, and Leia and Katie Innes.
