Iva Mae "Billie" Birt, 90, was born on October 12, 1909 in Wewoka to Roscoe and Grace Belle (Sturgis) Taylor. She passed away on October 23, 1999 at St. Simeon's Episcopal Home. Funeral services were held Thursday at Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home in Bristow. Interment was in Bristow Cemetery. She was a retired school teacher. She married Reuben Robert "Bill" Cape on June 22, 1929 in Castle. He preceded her in death on September 8, 1967. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Fred Morris Birt. Survivors include her children, Billie Jean Cape of Bullard, Texas, Mary Sue Tiernan of Tulsa, and Robert Randall Cape of Longview, Texas; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
