Mrs. Asbury died Thursday evening. She had been in poor health for a year.
She was born at Montcoal, a daughter of the late Sam and Mary Jarrell Cantley. She was a life-long resident of Raleigh County.
Surviving are her husband, J.E. Asbury; one daughter, Mrs. Pauline Alderman, Dry Creek; six sons, Carl, Dewey, Willard, Quentin, Warren and Norval, all of Dry Creek; six sisters, Mrs. Alice Thompson of Dorothy, Mrs. Ruby McClure of Dorothy, Mrs. Susan Gogus of Whitesville, Mrs. Ada Coiner of Whitesville, Mrs. Cora Jarrell of Packsville, Mrs. Effie Knosky of Garrison; two brothers, Pete Cantley of Edwight, and Bill Cantley of Dorothy, and 14 grandchildren.
