She married William Peter Baya on October 18, 1866, in Jacksonville. They have nine children: 5 boys, 3 girls, and an infant whose gender is unknown.
The Atlanta Constitution - Atlanta, Georgia Wednesday, October 17, 1917. BAYA--Mrs. Cornelia Sabina Baya died Tuesday night at her residence, Imperial hotel. Mrs. Baya was the widow of the late General William Baya, and is survived by three sons, Messrs. W. P., Louis Z. and Frank A. Baya; two daughters, Mrs. W. G. Stephens and Mrs. Cornelia A. Braddy, and one sister, Mrs. Adaline Warrock. The remains will be taken tonight at 11:05 to Jacksonville, Fla., where funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock from the Immaculate Conception church. Barclay & Brandon Co., funeral directors. P. J. Bloomfield in charge.

Cornelia was originally interred at the Old Saint Joseph Church Cemetery on October 18, 1917. In 1919, she was removed and reburied at Saint Mary's Cemetery.
