Lois Ann died of natural causes on June 12, 2010.

She was born September 12, 1925 and was preceded in death by her beloved parents Lois and Munn Q. Cannon, her sister Janet Neff, and her brother Dr. Dalton Cannon. She is survived by Leonard J. Lewis, her dear loving husband of sixty-two years, and her four children, Leslie Ann, L. John, James C. (Carol) and Janet Lewis, as well as her brother-in-law Victor "Boots" Neff. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Emily (Will) Lewis McMaster, Katie Lewis-Kooring, James Dalton ("J.D.") Lewis and Grace Ann Li Lewis, her two great-grandchildren Ruby and Mabel McMaster, and her many nieces and nephews.

Her family deeply loved and respected her. She was truly committed to her family, her many friends, to charitable endeavors and, in earlier years, to her business, The Rag Doll.

She was a lifetime resident of Salt Lake City and attended the University of Utah, where she was a member of the Tri Delta Sorority. Lois Ann will be best remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, her warmth, her irresistible charm, her forthright speech, her wit and her love of life. She had a gift for charming everyone she met. Her children's friends adored her and felt loved by her, and even strangers were immediately charmed by her.

She was a member of the Town Club, where she cherished spending time at her "seminars" with her girlfriends. She was blessed with many long-term friendships. Lois Ann loved the family ranch in Alta, Wyoming, where she would sit for hours on the porch reading and spending time with family and friends while looking at her beloved Tetons. She enjoyed knitting, bridge, and writing poetry, but most of all she enjoyed a lively party with family and friends. Lois Ann took great pride in her long marriage and the accomplishments of her family. Her family and many friends will deeply miss her smiles and laughter.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple Street, Salt Lake City, Utah.
