Mrs. Jessie M. Baker (Erdman Funeral Home)

Mrs. Jessie M. Baker, 97, of Moxee died Wednesday in a Yakima hospital. She was born July 25, 1881, to Francis and Emogene Canfield in Brownton, Minn. She received her education in Minnesota. She married William C. Baker Feb. 10, 1898, in Arkansas. They moved to Washington and operated a chicken ranch near Snohomish. They retired and moved to Sunnyside in 1960. Her husband William, died in 1963. She later moved to Moxee. She was a member of the Sunnyside Rebekah Lodge Inez No. 79. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Grace Griswold of Moxee and Mrs. Mae M. Padelford of Sunnyside; one sister, Mrs. Bernice Smith of Sunnyside; one brother, Guy Canfield of Davenport; seven grandchidlren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

BAKER--Graveside services for Mrs. Jessie M. Baker, 97, of Moxee City who passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 24 at a Yakima Hospital, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 11 a.m. in the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside. Interment will follow under the direction of Erdman Funeral Home. Those attending may meet at Erdman Funeral Home at 10:45 Saturday morning. Sue is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Grace Griswold of Moxee City, Mrs. Mae M. Padelford of Sunnyside; one sister, Mrs. Bernice Smith of Sunnyside; one brother, Guy Canfield of Davenport; seven grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was a member of Sunnyside Rebekah Lodge Inez No. 79.
