Services for George Elbert Caneer, 86, of Paducah will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Dr. Kenneth A. Brown officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Caneer died at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday at Western Baptist Hospital.
A native of Eva, Tenn., he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a m ember of Trinity Baptist Church. Mr. Caneer owned and operated Caneer Grocery Store.
Surviving are his wife, Ellen Pauline Sablosky Caneer; two daughters, Pam Morris of Kuttawa and Bonnie Bache of Paducah; two sons, Allen Cane er of Utah and Danny Caneer of Paducah; two sisters, Jewell Morgan and Toy Caneer, both of Paducah; one brother, Robert Wilson Caneer of Paducah; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Gary Caneer; three sisters; and one brother. His parents were Burt U. and Gladys Wilson Caneer.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
