Cornelia Weed Candee was the third wife of Julius Alonzo Candee. They married on 20 May 1890 in the twilight of their years. Cornelia was the sister of Julius Alonzo Candee's second wife, Evelina Weed Candee who is also buried in Green-Wood Cemetery.

Her obit in the Stamford Adv. Saturday, July 20, 1895:
"Died
Candee- At Ridgefield, July 20, Cornelia W widow of the late Julius A. Candee in the 75 year of her age. Funeral at the summer residence of Hon. E. L. Scofield, Ridgefield, Monday, July 22, at 11:00 o'clock."

Then on Thursday, July 23, 1895:
"Mrs. Julius A. Candee, aunt and step-mother of Mrs. E. L. Scofield, died in Ridgefield, Saturday."
