(Falls City Journal ~ March 13, 1967):

Mrs. Addie J. Campbell, 70, 1711 ½ Morton St., died at 6:40 o'clock Sunday morning, March 12, 1967, at Community Hospital here. She had been in failing health for two years. She entered the hospital the last time February 25. Earlier she had been hospitalized in November of 1966, and again in January of this year.

Mrs. Campbell was born May 23, 1896, south of Rulo, a daughter of the late William and Delta Mae DeRoin Ogden. She moved to Oklahoma as a young girl and lived there until moving to Atchison, KS and later to Kansas City. She was a resident of Kansas City for 35 years.

January 8, 1944, she was married to Harvey Campbell at Olathe, KS. The couple established their home in Kansas City and two years later they moved to a farm on the state line, south of Rulo. Mr. Campbell died November 20, 1959. Mrs. Campbell moved into Falls City in 1961.

She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene here.

Survivors are five sisters, Mrs. George (Edith) Rhodd, Falls City, Mrs. Catherine Laverne Young, 1711 Morton St., Mrs. J. (Lorene) Fohey, Kansas City, MO, Mrs. Anna Bryant, Gladstone, MO and Mrs. Charles (Cora) Keller, Rulo; three brothers, Rufus Ogden, Rulo and George Ogden, Kansas City; three stepsons, Raymond Campbell, Waverly, Homer Campbell, Falls City and Emil Campbell, Kansas City, 14 step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Campbell will be held at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday at the First Church of the Nazarene, conducted by the Rev. Sidney P. Shipman. Interment will be in the Rulo Cemetery.

The body of Mrs. Campbell is here at the Dorr-Philpot and Reavis-Macomber funeral home and from 12:30 o'clock Wednesday will lie in state at the church until the funeral hour.
