Mrs. Tugar Loraine Campbell Boothe, one of four children of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sid Campbell was born at Carrollton, Mississippi, on August 5, 1902.
She attend the public schools at Carrollton. She joined Bear Marsh Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She moved to Lexington and joined Asia Missionary Baptist Church in the 1930's under the pastorage of the late Dr. J. A. Marshall. She served as Sunday School Teacher, Group Leader, Choir Member and Secretary of the Missionary Society. She moved to Grand Junction, Tennessee, to live with her sister. She joined Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Grand Junction on April 11, 1977.
Tugar was active in civic and community affairs and a faithful member of the Rosa Calcotte (R. C.) Lee Federated Women's Prayer Band and Federated Club.
She was married to Mr. Robert Curry and to this union two sons were born. Robert Lindsey preceded her in death.
She later married Mr. Jerry Lee Boothe who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Boothe is survived by one son, Mr. Sid Campbell Curry and his wife, Jerry; one granddaughter, Mrs. Freda Wright, six great-grandchildren, all of Cahicago, Illinois; one sister, Mrs. Alberta Scott, Grand Junction, Tennessee; one brother-in-law, Mr. Oscar Scott; one brother, Mr. Lindsey Campbell, Memphis, Tennessee; cousins and a host of friends.
