Vivian M. Andreason — Byron
BYRON — Vivian M. Andreason, 88, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, at her residence in rural Byron.
Vivian was born in Mantorville on Jan. 9, 1922, to Melvin and Arlene (Smith) Campbell. She married Odeen Andreason on Jan. 24, 1942, at East St. Olaf Church. Vivian enjoyed fishing, camping, and was an avid gardener. She worked as a cateress and housekeeper, and loved baking. Vivian was an active member at East St. Olaf Lutheran Church and a member of Circle 4.
Vivian is survived by three children, Rita (Andrew) Distad of Byron, Dean (Peggy) Andreason of Byron and Julie Andreason of Byron; three grandchildren, Wendy (Bruce) Moore of Byron, Tim (Wendy) Distad of Kasson and Jennifer (Eric) Larson of Kasson; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, John (Wresa) Adams of El Paso, Texas; and two nephews, John Adams Jr. and Jason Adams.
Vivian is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Odeen Andreason; her parents; two brothers and a sister.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at East St. Olaf Lutheran Church, 6200 Co. Rd. 3 S.W., Byron, with the Rev. Darby Lawrence officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home, and one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in East St. Olaf Lutheran Cemetery.
