Madeline I. Brinkmeier, age 84, of South Rockwood, died on July 6, 2010 in Monroe, Michigan.
Funeral services were held in the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home on Saturday, July 10, 2010. Chaplin Kate O'Brien of Mercy Memorial Hospital officiated and burial was in Ash Center Cemetery.
Born April 28, 1926 in Wingston, Ohio she was the daughter of Wilbur and Vieda (Mansfield) Campbell. On May 26, 1945 she married Carl Brinkmeier in St. John Lutheran Church, Waltz, Michigan. She was a 1944 graduate of Flat Rock High School.
Madeline was a farmer's wife and assistant manager of Carls airport on their farm. She loved gardening and spending time at their cottage up north in Rapid River. The peace and quiet was a perfect setting for visits from all sorts of animals. She lived in South Rockwood for 65 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter-in-law, Linda.
Survivors are her husband, Carl; 3 sons, John (Marjorie) of Newport, James of S. Rockwood and Thomas of S. Rockwood; sister, Mary Bojarski of Carleton; 5 grandchildren, Paul, Bonnie, Jaime, Jeff and Michelle; 6 great-grandchildren.
