A service to honor the life of Mrs. Jean Berry will be at 2 pm Saturday, April 19, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Marthaville with Bro. Richard Kaufman officiating. Interment will follow at Marthaville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Friday, April 18, 2014 at First Baptist of Marthaville.

Mrs. Berry, 83 years of age and a resident of Marthaville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at her residence in Marthaville. She was born March 20, 1931 to Floy Campbell and Bessie (Brock) Campbell in Marthaville, LA. In her time on Earth, Jean showed God's love to all who met her and taught everyone to help others. Her faith was solid and she reminded everyone that the answer to everything could be found through God. Not just a mother/grandmother, she was an extra special Mama and Maw-Maw B who lived for her family. A true angel has been called home and those she left behind are blessed to have known her.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Farmer and her husband John of Marthaville; grandchildren, Trinity Graves and his wife Courtney of Covington, LA, Kassi Robinson and her husband Heath of Benton, LA, James Wade of Natchitoches; great grandchildren, Tristan Graves of Marthaville, Preslee and Emery Robinson of Benton, LA; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and "adoptive" grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewel David Berry; son, Ira Berry and her parents.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the First Baptist Church of Marthaville family and members of the Marthaville Community for their love and support.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Heath Litton, Tristan Graves, Jody Woodard, Bubba Roe, Gerald Early, Charles Davis, James Swindell and David Parish. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Rawls, Danny Hall and Richard Bruce.

In lieu of flowers donations in Mrs. Jean's name may be made to the First Baptist Church of Marthaville.
