Langley, SC –Mr. William "Bubba" Campbell, 68, husband of Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Williams Campbell, of 155 Dunbar Street, Langley, SC, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 29, 2012,. He was preceded in death by a son, Glen W. Campbell and a brother, Tommy Campbell.
Mr. Campbell was born in Langley, SC to the late Clinton and Pearl Cochran Campbell. He retired from Graniteville Company with thirty-three years of service. A member of Langley Pentecostal Holiness Church, he had served as their Royal Rangers Commander and he coached Little and Pony League Baseball. He enjoyed fishing and camping and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He and Mrs. Dot celebrated their Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary this year.
Surviving with his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Williams Campbell, of Langley, is a son, Fred "Clem" Campbell (Penny), Langley, SC; three brothers, Lonnie Campbell, GA, Sonny Campbell (Tammy), Warrenville, SC and Harold Campbell (Paula), Graniteville, SC; three sisters, Vivian Shearer (Aubrey), Langley, SC , Lucille Swearingen (B.W.), Graniteville, SC and Vickie Hicks (Billy), Warrenville, SC; four grandchildren: Chris Campbell, Josh Campbell, Stephanie Lott (Matt) and Wade Campbell (Amber Upchurch) and three great grandchildren: Olivia Grace Lott, Ryan Lott and Valerie Campbell.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday at 2 o'clock in the Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Cecil Goff and Don Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in Langley Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Harold Campbell, Kevin Campbell, Billy Hicks, Michael Wilson, Clay Swearingen and Blake Shearer.
Friends may call on Sunday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, U.S. Hwy. No. 1, Langley, SC.
