Archibald Campbell was a Scottish nobleman and politician.
Archibald Campbell was the son of Colin Campbell, 1st Earl of Argyll and Isabel Stewart. Archibald succeeded to the title of 3rd Lord Campbell, 2nd Lord Lorne and 2nd Earl of Argyll in 1493. He held the office of Master of the Houshold to King James IV in March 1494/1495. He was Lieutenant General of the Isles in 1500. Archibald rose to the position of Lord High Chancellor of Scotland. He was also governor of Tarbert Castle.
He married Elizabeth Stuart, daughter of John stuart, 1st Earl of Lennox and Margaret Montgomerie. Archibald and Elizabeth had 8 or 9 children. This is a list of eight of them:

On 9 September 1513 Archibald Campbell in command of the right wing of the army, his brother-in-law the Earl of Lennox, and his king, James IV were killed in action.
Colin Campbell, his father, preceded Archibald as the 1st Earl of Argyll. Archibald's son Colin Campbell succeeded him as the 3rd Earl of Argyll.
