Roy Stanley "Tony" Campbell, beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend, died peacefully at home on Saturday, May 2, 2009, after a short battle with cancer.
Tony was born Oct. 4, 1933, at Huntington Park, Calif., the son of Roy and Lavinia (Crowell) Campbell. For 30 years Tony was employed at McDonnell Douglas Aircraft (Boeing) until his retirement.
For two years he had served in the U.S. Army and spent a brief time in Germany. He had also volunteered with the Los Alamitos Fire Department.
Following retirement, Tony and Jeri, his wife of 16 years, moved to Chelan.
Tony will be dearly missed by his wife, Jeri, of the home; and his much loved children: Stacy (Rick) Myers, of Anza, Calif.; Kelly (Don) Schmid, of Perris, Calif.; Karen (Dan) Gillham, of Fair Oaks, Calif.; Kristin (Joe) Faccone, of Chevy Chase, Md.; two step-sons: Jim Blizzard, of Moberly, Mo.; Jeff Blizzard, of Moline, Ill.; 11 grandchildren: Richard, Cody, Michael Myers; Kaitlin, Charles, Gina Gillham; Brandon Schmid; Francesca, Isabella, Gabriella, Alessandra Faccone. He is also survived by a sister, Barbara Ramella, of Chelan, and two nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Stanley Campbell and his mother, Lavinia Campbell.
A family service will take place Thursday, May 7, at Riverview Cemetery with Pastor Craig Rayment officiating. Memorials may be made to Lake Chelan Community Hospital-Home Health/Hospice, Box 908, Chelan, WA 98816.
Tony's wife and family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the folks at Lake Chelan Community Hospital-Home Health/Hospice. Services have been entrusted to Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan.
