Berford "Bert" Campbell, 83, of Uniontown, Ohio, formerly of Deputy, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2002, at the Hospice Center in Copley, Ohio.

He was born Feb. 6, 1919, in Perry County, Ky., the son of Woolery L. and Martha Hamblin Campbell. He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber after 35 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Dorcas Lowry Campbell; one son, Warren Campbell of Houston, Texas; two brothers, James and Orem Campbell, both of Florida; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Pisgah Cemetery in Deputy.

There will be no visitation.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Pisgah Cemetery Association. Cards are available at the Morgan-Webster-Nay Funeral Home.
