ABINGDON, Va. Faye C. Anderson, 86, passed away on Sunday October 5, 2014 at Grace Healthcare. She was a native of Carter County Tenn., but had lived in Washington County Va. since 1947. She was a member of the Macedonia Church of Christ and attended Woodland Hills Christian Church. Her entire working career was spent in the healthcare industry. She worked at Cedar Lawn (now Grace Healthcare) and retired from Abingdon Manor. In her retirement years, Mrs. Anderson loved to travelanytime and anywhere. Mrs. Anderson was predeceased by her husband, Rolse Anderson; parents James G. and Ethel Pierce Campbell; her son, Donald Anderson; five brothers; and three sisters. She is survived by her sons, Bill Anderson and wife, Rita, and Ronald Anderson and his wife, Elsie both of Abingdon; daughter, Lorrie Anderson and friend Rik Johnson of Abingdon; brother, Martin Campbell of Abingdon; grandchildren, Stacey Anderson and wife, Christa of Arlington, Va., and Megan Wampler of Abingdon; and great grandchildren, Mallory, Madison, Avery and Claire. A funeral service will be conducted at the Farris Funeral Chapel at 8 pm on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 with Pastor Paul Viers officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. An interment committal service will be held at 11 am Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Knollkreg Memorial Park. Friends wishing to attend the committal service are asked to meet at the cemetery at least 15 minutes prior to the service.
