Derek Langdon Campbell, 20, of Georgetown entered into rest August 10, 2010. The family will receive friends on Sunday August 15, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 pm at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 393 North IH-35 in Georgetown. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, August 16, 2010 in the Serenada Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 218 Serenada Drive in Georgetown.
Derek was born January 28, 1990 to Scott and Susan (Gouldy) Campbell in Salisbury, MD. He graduated from Georgetown High School in 2008, while attending there he was a member of the swim team and the National Honor Society. Derek was working as an assembler for Dresser Wayne in Round Rock and a customer service representative at City Lights Theaters in Georgetown. He was a member of the Serenada Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Derek spent his leisure time reading, listening to music, enjoying the out of doors with his family, watching movies, and target shooting with his Dad.
Derek is preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his parents, Scott and Susan Campbell of Georgetown; brother, Ryan and his wife Ashley of Georgetown; sisters, Christine and husband Bill LeMay of Mt. Laurel, N.J., Andrea and husband Bruce Finkel of Mullica Hill, N.J.; two nieces and three nephews.
