Elmer R. Campbell, 87, of Shermans Dale, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2009 in Carlisle Regional Medical Center. He was a retired Machinist for Conrail. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII; a member of American Legion Post 1001, Harrisburg. Elmer enjoyed hunting and traveling. Surviving are 2 sons: Joseph Roy Campbell, and David Lee Campbell and his wife, Debra of Carlisle. 3 sisters: Hulda Chronister of Enola, Stella Brocious of Wellsboro, and Elsie Coble of Middletown. 2-brothers: Gilbert M. Campbell of Mifflintown, and Norman B. Campbell of Waterford, Connecticut. He was preceded in death by his wives: Alverta Campbell, and Betty Campbell. 3 brothers: Kenneth R. Campbell, William O. Campbell, and Harold J. Campbell. A Sister, Anna B. Nealman. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 12, 2009 in The Richardson Funeral Home Inc., Enola. Viewing will be held from 10:00 A.M. until time of services Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
