Charles Eugene Campbell, 81, husband of Rita Salyer Campbell, passed away at his home in Georgetown on September 8, 2015. He was born February 27, 1934 in Perry County, Kentucky to the late Edward and Florence Couch Campbell.

He was a member of Dry Run Baptist Church. He worked for Kentucky's Department of Corrections and retired from Blackburn Correctional Complex.

Along with his wife Rita, he is survived by his children, Brenda (James) Brown of Lawrenceburg, Parnell (Daletta) Campbell of Salyersville; step daughter, Sandra Wells of Georgetown; 3 grandsons, and 1 step granddaughter; brother, Rev. Merrill Campbell of LaFollette, Tennessee; sisters, Margaret Harper of Hamilton, Ohio and Billie Faye Embry of Northern Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his son, Tommy Campbell; brothers, Ernest Campbell, Paul Campbell, Tom Campbell, John Campbell, and Pearl B. Campbell.

Funeral services will be 1 pm, Friday, September 11, 2015 at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Dale Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery with pallbearers being his grandsons and nephews. Visitation will be 11 am-1 pm, Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 1317 US HWY 62E, Cynthiana, KY 41031.
