Logan Campbell, 86
Logan Campbell of the Walnut Grove community died Tuesday, May 24, 1988 at his residence following a brief illness. He was 86 years old.
Born in Casey County on May 22, 1902, he was the son of the late Andrew Jackson and Sarah Harper Campbell. He was a farmer and a member of the Walnut Grove Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Nannie Pitman Campbell, whom he married on August 8, 1951 at Hall's Gap; a brother, Henry Campbell, Liberty; and a sister, Eliza Lanham, Stanford.
Services were held May 26 at the Walnut Grove Church of Christ with Bros. J.W. Karnegay and Shelby Taulbee officiating. Burial was in the Friendship Cemetery.
Morris and Hislope Landmark Funeral Home in Science Hill was in charge of the arrangements.

Everyone called him Logan or Uncle Logan, but his full name was Frank Logan Campbell. He was named for his uncle, Frank Campbell, whose actual name was Francis A. Campbell. My father was named Frank Logan Campbell after Uncle Logan.
