John Joseph Stanley Campbell, left to be with his sweetheart of 65 years, May 2, 1993, after a stroke, 3 weeks after her passing.

He was born February 21, 1907 in Miller Lake, Ontario, Canada to Robert James Campbell and Mary Brough. He married Fay Baierline, September 24, 1928 in Salt Lake City; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She preceded him in death, April 12, 1993.

John was a boilermaker at Garfield smelter for 40 years until he retired. The family owned a dairy farm in Hunter for several years. He moved to Murray in 1950 and played drums with Murray Senior Citizens Harmonica Band and helped his wife with program directing for 20 years. He could build or fix anything. He was a High Priest and past executive secretary in the Murray 12th Ward.

He is survived by his children, George and Bettie Turner, Bennion; Conrad and Marlene Riley, LaJuana Campbell, all West Valley City; 14 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Jennie Mae Crawford, Ontario, Canada. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Fay and a son, Harlen Stanley Campbell.

Family would like to thank nursing staff, Cottonwood Hospital special care unit for the compassionate loving care they gave our father.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 5, 1993, 11 a.m. Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates.
