Judge Clinton C. Campbell, one of Chelan's earliest settlers, died at his home in Chelan Thursday at the age of 83.

He was born in Ohio in Sep. 1855 and moved to Iowa with his parents. He came to Chelan in 1889 then moved to Siouz City but returned in 1890.

He married Carrie Elizabeth Spanks in 1887 who preceded him in death.

He is survived by one son, Arthur C. Campbell, two grandchildren, Dan and Arthur Jr., and one brother, Sam Campbell, all of Chelan.

Services will he held Sunday, Oct. 23, under the direction of W. R. Higgins and Sons Mortuary.
