Mrs. Mary Cave Campbell, Route 3, daughter of the late Elijah and Mary Carter Bowles Cave, died at her home on the Saloma Road Monday night, Feb. 28. She was 87. Mrs. Campbell was born in Taylor County, Nov. 9, 1878. She is the last surviving member of a Taylor County Pioneer family. She has been a member of the Salem Baptist Church since early in life. On May 3, 1900, she was married to Luther Campbell, whod ied on Oct. 25, 1937. To this union one son and three daughters were born. Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Goodman preceded her mother in death July 19, 1965. Surviving are Jeff M. Campbell, at home; Mrs. Coy Willis and Mrs. Minnie Rice, both of Route 3, City. Besides her children, she is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, March 2, in the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home by Rev. J. L. McNeal and Rev. W. L. Loyall with burial in Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers were W. H. Bugg, Orris Warf, David Cornett, Ed Payne, Earl Walker, and Jeff Greer.
