Funeral services for Kenneth Owen Campbell, 69, Edgewood, Texas, were held Monday, July 25, 2011, in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mr. Campbell died at 3 a.m., Thursday, July 21, 2011, at his home. He was born May 31, 1942, at Thomasville, Mo., to Cletious Owen and Opal Lee Andrews Campbell. He graduated with the Class of 1960 from the Alton, Mo., high school. On March 2, 1962, he was married at Myrtle, Mo., to Sue Rogers. He grew up in Thomasville, Mo., and before his retirement, drove a truck for Sears Roebuck for 22 years. After retiring, Ken worked on his farm raising cattle, chickens and his grandkids. He loved the outdoors, whether he was fishing, hunting or working in his garden. Ken loved his family and was willing to do anything for them. He was a member of the Willow Springs Baptist Church, Edgewood, Texas, for 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Sue Campbell, of the family home; one son, Kenny Campbell, wife, Michelle, Edgewood, Texas; four grandchildren, Alex, Amber, A.J., and Anna; two brothers, Duane Campbell, Grand Prairie, Texas, and Dean Campbell, wife, Carolyn, Alton, Mo.; two sisters, Freda McClanahan, husband, Gary, Alton, Mo., and Neda Owens, husband, George, Kilgore, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. His parents; one daughter, Theresa Sue; and one sister, Jessie Lee Glover, precede him in death. Burial was in the Huddleston Cemetery near Alton, Mo. Memorial contributions may be made too the American Heart Association or the Huddleston Cemetery and may be left at the Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
