William Charles Camille, III, a resident and native of Baton Rouge and a former employee of Baton Rouge Water Works Co., died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, at his home. He was 59 and a U.S. Army veteran, having received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, two overseas bars, Marksman Badge (Rifle M-14) and Vietnam Service Medal.
A private inurnment service will be held at Port Hudson National Cemetery.He is survived by a daughter, Alicia Camille Johnson; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Melvin Heatley; two granddaughters, Kaiyla and Montez Johnson; nephew, Kevin Washington; great-niece, Laqinta Washington; and great-nephew, Cory Adams.He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Johnson; father, William Camille II; nephew, Kenneth Johnson; and brother, Alfred Sanders.He was a graduate of Capitol High School and the Army Training Program.
