Son of J N & I J Cameron. Delbert Cameron, 72, of Highland Park, IL, formerly of the Coal River area, died Sunday January 7 in a Chicago hospital after a long illness.
He was a retired coal miner and veteran of WWI.
Surviving are wife Iona, daughters Reba Nelson, Jean Mills, June Persinger, Karla Williams, Joyce Lucas, Louise Jarrell, son W O, brothers Deward, Jennings, sisters Orpha Miller, Mary Jones and Grace Duncan.
Friends were invited to call at Armstrong Funeral Home on January 9. Service was held Wednesday January 10 at 2pm in Pettus Baptist Church with Rev Frank Barcklow officiating.
