Arthur was born at his Grandfather's home in Cameron, New Mexico in the spring of 1920.
When his father was part of the Postal Carrier exchange in 1937, the Camerons moved to the Porter, Oklahoma area. This is where he met his first love, Bobby Jo Boggs. During the War years, Bobby and Arthur were married on July 14, 1942 in Mesa, Arizona.
After the War, Arthur and his younger brother Bracken went into one of the family business and opened a grocery store in Miami, Oklahoma. One story that is said about the venture is one spring day, Arthur removed the gas stove and put the line below the floor. Bracken kept smelling gas so one time Arthur struck a match on his pant leg to find the leak on the cap and the collected gas under the floor exploded, blowing out the window, messing up the stock and twisting the roof. No one was seriously hurt.
The store was in business for 10 years and Arthur moved to Tulsa and opened Cameron Packaging where several family members are still operating the business.
