PORTSMOUTH - Eula C. Pipkin, 87, formerly of Harvard Road, went to be with the Lord Dec. 30, 2005. She was born March 10, 1918, in Harnett County, North Carolina, and was the daughter of the late McBryde and Pearlie T. Cameron. Mrs. Pipkin was a hair dresser. She was a lifelong member of Fairview Heights Baptist Church, past president and secretary of the Fidelis Sunday school class and was a member of the adult choir. She also was a member of Cradock Rebekah Lodge No. 51, Order of The Eastern Star.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Lockamy and Ellen Tucker and husband James; five grandchildren, Vickie Goodman, Sheryl Turner and husband Joe, Robin Adkins and husband Bub, Norman Tucker and wife Janet and Julie Lockamy; six great-grandchildren, Chris, Ashley, Blair, Morgan, Myles and Shelby; one sister, Hazel Arrington; and two brothers, Marcus and Kenneth Cameron.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. A funeral will be conducted Monday at 3 p.m. in Fairview Heights Baptist Church. The Rev. Fred Williams will officiate. Interment will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
