Ida Belle Harrison was born February 8, 1881 in Indian Territory (now Oklahoma), daughter of William H. Harrison (1851-1919) and Serilda Jane McCaslin (1861-1951). The 1900 Federal Census for Township 2, Indian Territory, (Choctaw Nation) shows Ida Belle, age 19, indian, born in Indian Territory, living with her father, William H., a land commissioner, age 48, born September 1851 in Indian Territory; and her mother, Serilda, age 39, born October 1860 in Missouri. The census shows that William and Serilda had given birth to 12 children, of which 12 were still living. Ida Belle had five younger siblings living in the home: Etta, age 12; Ada, age 10; Mabel, age 6; William H. Jr., age 4; and Victor V., age 5 months; all born in Indian Territory.
On September 25, 1902, Ida Belle Camden, age 21, registered with the Five Civilized Tribes as being Choctaw by blood.
In about 1902, Ida Belle married Andrew Bruce Camden, born January 7, 1876 in Texas, son of Leroy Bruce Camden and Dirinda (maiden name unknown). The 1910 Federal Census for Hugo Ward 3, Oklahoma (Choctaw County) shows Ida, age 29, born in Oklahoma; and Andrew, a sign painter, age 34, born in Texas. Living with them was their son, Leroy H. Camden, age 6, born in Oklahoma.
The 1920 Federal Census for Durant Ward 3, Oklahoma (Bryan County) shows Ida, age 39, and Andrew, a sign painter, age 43. Living with them was their son, Leroy Camden, a garage floorboy, age 15. Ida's widowed mother was living next door with three of her other children.
The 1930 Federal Census for Durant, Oklahoma (Bryan County) shows Ida, age 49, and Andrew, a commercial signs writer, age 53. Living next door was Ida's brother, Victor Harrison, a laborer, age 30, born in Oklahoma. Victor and Ida's widowed mother, age 68, was living with Victor.
Andrew died June 13, 1943 in Durant, Oklahoma and was buried in the Highland Cemetery. Ida Belle died March 3, 1945, and was also buried in Highland Cemetery.
