Francis was baptized Benedict Franklin Cambron at St. Rose Church, near Springfield, Kentucky, on February 14, 1837. Cloe Osbourn was his godmother. This sacrament is recorded in St. Rose Sacramental Register #1, page 105.

From the Washington County Vital Statistics, Deaths 1853, we learn that: Francis Cambron, age 16, male, single, farmer, resided and born Washington County, Kentucky, died December 5, 1853 of typhoid fever and that he was the son of Hillary and Caroline (Osbourne) Cambron.

His burial entry on page 779 of St. Rose Sacramental Register III says he was 15 years old and that he was buried at St. Rose on November 6, 1853.
