Floyd Alton Calvery, 76, a pharmacy delivery man, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Greenwood Chapel. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Floyd Alton Calvery was born Dec. 10, 1925, in Fort Worth. He served with General Patton in World War II and could speak German fluently, he had some interesting experiences in life including riding a Russian general's horse and being kissed on the head by Bonnie Parker of Bonnie and Clyde fame. He enjoyed sports, especially TCU sports.
Survivors: Wife, Kay Calvery; son, Kurt Calvery; daughter, Jennifer Calvery; daughter-in-law, Amanda Calvery, all of Fort Worth; daughter, Deldalane Calvery of Cleburne; son, Frederick Calvery of Canada; daughter, Kathy Calvery of Canada; and seven grandchildren.
