Mrs. Anna Belle Childress Calvert Whitt, 73, wife of F. Vard Whitt of Rte. 2, died at 3:20 pm Wednesday in Aiken Community Hospital after a long illness.
Native os Scott Co., VA; daughter of the late Solomon and Sarah Jane Crumley Childress; member of Thompson Chapel Baptist Church; retired textile employe; twice married, first to the late Luther G. Calvert.
Also surviving: Daughter, Mrs. Annie Lou Gossett of Aikin; three stepsons, one brother, and 5 sisters.
Services 3 Friday at Thompson Chapel Baptist Church. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Body in church 1:30 Friday. Family will receive friends 7-9 tonight at M.W. Bobo Funeral Chapel.
