Retired Waco Police Chief, Milton Milus "Bo" Calvert, 94, died Monday, Sept. 26, 2005. Graveside services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, at Rosemound Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Chandler of Central United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home.

Bo was born in Hewitt, Texas, the fifth child of the late Robert Landrum and Hester McClain Calvert. He married Leila Mae Crews on November, 1933, in Waco. Bo's career in law enforcement covered 40 years as he worked his way through the ranks at the Waco Police Department, retiring as Chief in June, 1975. In addition, he was a 1949 graduate of the FBI Academy and served as Police Chief in Kerrville, Texas for several years. Bo was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, in February, 1991.

He is survived by his daughter, Yvonne Miller and husband, Gene; son, David Calvert and wife, Julie; brother, Royce Calvert, of Waco; sister, Nadine Ward, of Utah; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
