Audrey Mae Bergman Calvert, formerly a 50-year resident of Chula Vista, died of natural causes on May 8. She was born in Great Falls, Mont. and graduated from Cascade High School, Cascade, Mont. She worked at the Chula Vista Library and was secretary to the City Manager of Chula Vista through 5 City Managers. After retirement, she was an active member of the American Business Women's Association and the Retired Public Employees Association, volunteered at the Chula Vista library and for numerous Democratic political campaigns, and was a longtime supporter of the Boy Scouts. She was preceded in death by her husband J.W. (Bill) and son Michael and is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Jeff Brown, and their daughters Denise and Dana of Yorba Linda, Ca.; a sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Lloyd Jensen of Corona, Ca.; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Midge Bergman of Bozeman, Mont.; a granddaughter and her husband, Kim and Philip Monnier of Reno, Nev.; four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 15, at 1 p.m. at Heath Funeral Home, National City, with private interment at La Vista Memorial Park.
